I have a lot of thinking to do.

Remember how I was saying I was so disappointed that I couldn’t relocate myself to California and work at my jobs office? Well they just offered to pay to relocate me and my fiancé in order for me to work with them.

I wanna do this so bad, you guys have no idea the amount of wanderlust I have. But is it worth it? Nikki makes almost 40k a year now and we’re looking into buying a house, but she’ll have to quit in order for me to work in Cali. Meaning I’ll be making 40k alone and paying 2-3,000 a month for rent alone. I’ve looked into towns near my office but I’m worried if I can afford it, it’ll be a nasty apartment in a big ass city.

The other thing is, if Nikki quits it’ll all be on me. What if panic attacks? Here I go with the what if bullshit.

I really really wanna do this. But is it smart?!

You’re young and if there is anytime to follow your dreams, it’s now. Talk to Nikki and come up with a plan.

We had to turn it down. We did a lot of talking and since my work could only help with $3k that wouldn’t even get a place to move into with all the other things needed to move. An I have to get a new car since the insurance company said mine was totaled due to the amount of fixing was more than my car was worth. So that put a big damper on things and made me realize it wasn’t the smartest move right now. Sucks but it’ll be alright.

How exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. I’m sure you’ll come to a good, solid decision – I wish you both all the best!

Thanks!! I turned down the position today:/ I’m pretty bummed about it but financially it seemed impossible.

I always try to remind myself “if it were meant to be, it would be”- something is telling you that you are ok where you are for now. I’m sorry though and I know good things await you 🙂

What does Nikki say? Is she encouraging or have reservations? This is something the two of you need to think about together.

We both really want to do it. My mom is the one who is against it, but honestly it’s not her choice lol.

Sounds good. I know how moms are. Mine freaked out when I moved 2 hours from her. And she really flipped out when I moved a state away while I was married!

Yeah she’s not being too supportive on the idea. She thinks I’m making a stupid mistake due to the money difference down there. The way I look at is, I’ll have a job instantly down there with my business and Nikki will have no problem finding a job with the job history she has in corrections and security. She’s had no problem finding jobs in our tiny ass town with not even 3000 people in it, I’m sure she’ll find a job within 2 months of being in California. Hopefully, fingers crossed.

Have y’all decided on moving? I hope you’ll keep in touch with all of us. I’ve grown accustomed to you being around.

Not sure yet, we’re leaning more into the yes category than the no. But we will see once we get all the money estimates together to give the company I work for. Will definitely still keep blogging no matter where we’re living at!!

Good! We (as a community) need you! You are a bright beam of sunlight when needed. You have made me smile and laugh more times than I can count. And anyone who battles with bipolar and schizoaffective disorder knows that laughter is hard to find sometimes.
