In Search Of:

I’m thinking of doing some guest bloggers on “You’re Not Alone In This World“.

I’m too sure on how I’m going to go about doing it, but I do know what “topics” I’d like people to write about. So I figured I’d make this post, write the list of topics that I’m interested in someone writing about. If you see a topic that you think you’d be a good fit for, just leave me a comment letting me know what topic you’d be most interested in writing for, and I’ll reach out to you.

Also, please have experience in the topic you pick, don’t just pick a topic and google for the answers lol. I want a real truthful post that you and others can relate to!

Not too sure when it’ll take place but it will be this month.

The Topics:

  • What it is like being an LGBTQ teenager in high school these days. Since I’m sure it’s changed a lot since I’ve been in high school, and a lot since my fiance was in high school. I graduated in 2012 so I know it won’t be that different, but it was still a big “secret” at the school I attended. My fiance graduated in 2006 and when she was in school it was a completely different story than when I was in high school. Is it accepted more now than it was when we were in high school? Can you openly dress the way you want going to dances like prom? Etc.
  • An honest opinion on what teens or adults from other countries think of our teens and young adults from America. This is something I’m curious about, how others look at us Americans. Whether you’re a teen, a young adult, or an adult, what do you think of the young adult generation in America? This would probably be more of an interview guest post, I’d ask questions, you’d give me your most honest answer, etc.
  • Top Conspiracy Theories You Believe Are Real Theories:  I’m definitely looking forward to this one. You can make a 200-page document and I promise I’ll read it all if it contains material about conspiracy theories. If you’re looking to do this one, please make sure you have websites that you got your information from, youtube videos that talk about, and state your own opinion, etc. I’m really excited about this one!
  • Do You Think As Of Today, We’re One Human Race or A Divided Human Race? Just like above, if you’ll be doing this one please include sites that you got your information from, relatable subjects that you’ve encountered or a family/friend has encountered. This would probably also be more of an interview type of guest blogging. Just curious of how others portray our human race.
  • Personal Experience Being A College Student with Mental Health “Illnesses”. Since I’ve yet to go to College, actually dropped out 4 different times due to my mental health issues, I’m curious, how do you handle everyday life in College? This could be either a complete guest post or an interview guest post, I’ll decide once someone actually wants to do this one lol.
  • Personal Experience Being An Adult In An Office Workplace With Mental Health “Illnesses”. This I’m curious about since my workplace is my sofa, I’m lucky enough to work from home. I know if it was up to me to get out there in the world and get a day to day office job, I’d have some problems. I’d love to hear how you handle situations, how your boss handles your situations, etc. This could either be a complete guest post or an interview guest post as well. Like above, I’ll decide once I get people interested in doing the guest post!

Like I Said Above, If you’re seriously interested in doing this and have some free time on your hands, please let me know what topic you’d be most interested in doing, and we’ll go from there!

I’m really looking forward to expanding my blog more and allowing others to guest post on it. Also, looking forward to seeing how many people would actually be interested in doing this with me!

Once I have enough people for each subject, I’ll announce who will be doing what and will reach out to you!

Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of criticism towards Schizophrenia. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that each and every person is entitled to their own opinion, but oh dear lord some of you people really irk my nerves.

For example, the other day a person decided to put her/his two cents into “what Schizophrenia is like to a Schizophrenic”. Now, I totally understand that I don’t walk around with a sign on my back saying “I’m a schizophrenic”. That’s what is really fucked up, this person knows that I AM a schizophrenic, but still decided to “guess” what it’s like for a Schizophrenic.

She/He says they believe that our “voices” are a part of us, apart of our soul trying to “climb” out of us, but “us” is the dominant part of our soul, that’s why we’re who we are today.

I just kind of sat there with the blank expression on my face and just kind of nodded before changing the subject. I didn’t speak up, because what the hell was i going to say without expressing what my “voices” tell me .

I can’t believe this theory she/he has proposed. Due to the fact that my “voices” are not something I would ever imagine myself being or acting like. The things I hear on a day to day basis are things “normal” people can’t even imagine, thing’s I can’t even imagine, and I hear it constantly. I couldn’t stand up and start yelling “NO NO NO, WHY WOULD I EVER THINK ABOUT GRUESOME, AWFUL, THINGS?!” “THAT’S NOT ME, THAT’S NOT WHO I AM, YOU KNOW THIS!” But just saying that sounds crazy?

Now I’m not saying that every day my voices are chatting up a storm in my head about murder and bloody scenes, but I’d also be lying if I said my head didn’t come up with fucked up shit. But there are still good days, where my voices actually seem “ok” with me, talk about nice things, cheer me on in life, and help me with day to day things. BUT THAT’S ON A GOOD DAY!

If my voices were constantly positive, then hell yeah maybe I’d be able to accept this proposal on Schizophrenia. The fact that my voices aren’t ALWAYS the nicest, I can’t believe that this theory is even a possibility, I won’t believe it.

\I will admit, I don’t know EVERYTHING there is to know about Paranoid Schizophrenia, but I do my research, I read books, watch documentaries, and follow tons of Schizophrenic sites on WordPress and Pinterest. I don’t really read it, to see if I’m a “normal schizophrenic”, I totally understand we’re all different, our voices are different, our thoughts, emotions, etc. I honestly read it just to see if there is any hope that my “voices” one day will never be there.

Until I find a post that I find reasonable for ME, or something I find “ok” for ME to believe and have hope in, than I will.

But for right now, my voices are my “voices” whether it’s “my soul’s”, my thoughts, or straight up my head making up shit, oh well it’s me. I can’t help that I’m a Schizophrenic anymore than you can help if your indian/white/black/straight/gay/american/etc.

Every stigma in this damn world needs to end, whatever it is, just stop.

I just don’t believe in it.

Reblogged: “Positive Patterns”

Originally posted by B.G. Over at Getting Through Anxiety! An amazing writer, definitely worth reading!

“So today I’d like to talk about positive patterns. I think in the past I’ve mentioned that for a lot of people with anxiety (I know that I am included in this), we struggle with a lot of negative patterns. I know that there have been times when I get anxious and have a bad […]

The Spirit Animal Award!! (LOOK FOR NOMINATIONS)

I’ve been nominated by BG over at Getting Through Anxiety for the spirit animal award! Thank you so much BG! If you’re not already, go check out her wonderful blog and hit that follow button!

The Rules:

  • Post the award picture on your blog.
  • Write a short paragraph about yourself and what your blog means to you.
  • If you could be any animal, what would you be?
  • Pick however many people you want to nominate!

My name is C, and I’ve never really been a “writer”. In fact, English and writing was my worst subjects in school. I started blogging a while back because my therapist thought it was the best option, since I don’t do too good at expressing my feelings with the therapist. I’ve recently been trying to get back into the whole reading books every night ordeal. I haven’t honestly read a book in maybe 3 years, but it’s like riding a bike, if you find a book you like, it’s easy to sink down into it and pick up where you left off.

I’ve been struggling with mental health issues for about 8 years now (well that’s how long I’ve been diagnosed). I suffer from Social Anxiety, Severe Depression, and Paranoid Schizophrenia. I’m a lot of medications, but I’ve taken myself off of them multiple times (not smart) and I always end up back on them, plus more.

I don’t consider myself anything special, I don’t have many talents. I can draw, and I can talk a lot if I’m comfortable around you. I tend to have panic attacks when meeting new people for the first time, which fucking sucks.

My biggest supporter in my mental health life has to be my girlfriend now. We’ve lived together for almost 4 years, and she helps me in so many ways that she doesn’t even understand. While living at home, it was definitley my mother, she did everything for me that she possibly could. If it wasn’t for my mother I wouldn’t be on the medications I am now, I wouldn’t have the amazing doctors that I have now, Mental health is not cheap.

I’ve grown a lot since my very first blog post, and I love it! WordPress has helped a lot by being able to write everything down and not feel like I’m being judged by everyone on here. I’ve met some awesome people on here that suffer from the same amount of anxiety as me, and it really helps to see how they handle theirs compared to how I do. This website has helped me open my eyes to mental health, makes me want to live more than before, knowing I’m not alone:)

If I could be any animal:

I’d be a turtle. They’re slow paced, going with the flow, have shelter to hide from the scary stuff, and they’re pretty badass. I love turtles, I’ve had pet turtles and they’re seriously funny as hell. They’ve been here a lot longer than we have, I honestly believe they probably understand more about this world than us humans do, we just have no way of finding out anything from animals.

My nominees: (No Order)

  1. Sincerely Reine
  2. bibliophile
  3. Fangirl Fandoms
  4. Cinderzenablogs
  5. Teenella
  6. yourdaughtersbookshelf
  7. Ambi
  8. Making Time For Me

Quote Challenge; Day 3!

Thank you to notheaveragemama for nominating me for the “Quote Challenge”. Today is my last day for the challenge and it was an awesome challenge to be apart of! Today I decided since it was my last day I would list some of my favorite famous quotes by famous people.

  1. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you.
  2. Post 1-3 quotes per day for 3 days.
  3. Nominate other bloggers for the challenge.(as many as you like, whenever you like)

Todays Quotes:

Ah Buddha, why were you so smart beyond our understanding at the time! This quote probably can speak to a lot of us; it seems everyone’s thoughts tend to play games with us.

To me, I feel this quote is saying “The world can be beautiful, if you allow it“. Music is gorgeous, everything about it, and all kinds. Music tells stories, just like the world can tell us stories if we look close enough. If us humans (all of us) cared about this world as much as we do music, clothes, celebrities, technology; this world would probably be so much more beautiful to more of us.

I’m still trying to find out my reason, but when I do, I know it’ll be amazing! I will feel accomplished in life, belonging of this life.

Nominations for today:

  1. Imperfection Is Beauty
  2. Renee from home and loving it

Quote Challenge; Day 2!

Thank You to notheaveragemama for nominating me for the “Quote Challenge“.

  1. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you!
  2. Post 1-3 quotes per day for 3 days!
  3. Nominate other bloggers for the challeng. (as many as you like, whenever you like)

Todays Quotes:

I truly believe this quote with all my heart! There’s a scientific fact out there about how our personality changes every 6-10 years or something like that, don’t quote me on it! If our whole personality changes that many times, doesn’t our wishes and wants also change? I’m only 21 and I can tell you that if you would of asked me at 15 where I would be today, I wouldn’t of said what I’m doing now. I wanted completely different things and was a completely different “me”. I could see how “having the strength” to leave a “life” that you’re not happy in, being hard. It’s just crazy how many “hard situations” we’ve been through since day one. How, at that time, it was the whole world to us and thought our world was crashing down, to now look back and be like “eh, I’ve been through worse”.

Every thing is possible. Things us humans couldn’t even think of, is possible, things we wouldn’t even fathom! We need to be open to every possibility whether sane or not, it may or may not be possible!

This is something I really need to start doing more. Anxiety doesn’t allow me to think like this usually, but I’m getting a lot better at it. Usually when I can tell things are going to get rocky I either; a- run the other direction or b- give up and freak out constantly. I need to learn to buck up, and face my challenged face on; which I have being doing lately!

Nominations for today:

  1. The Persistent Platypus
  2. HappyAlexx

The Miranda Sings Award*

Thank you to Radical Mermaid for nominating all of her followers for this award:)

1. Announce your win with a post and tag the person who nominated you

2. Include the featured image in your post

3. Nominate other blogs to share the love

4. List 7 things you love about yourself (this can be appearance, personality, achievements etc)

*Don’t use negative contention ex: don’t say things like- I’m prettier than the average person or people have told me I’m smart- no you are SMART, you are PRETTY*

This is going to be difficult but props to whoever thought of this award idea!

1. I’m actually fond of my eyes, not the shape or anything, just the color. They’re very dark brown, almost black.

2. I like the fact that my skin tans very easily. I almost never burn, and if I do, it turns into a tan the next day. I’ve never “suffered” from a sunburn so I really don’t know why it hurts as bad as I’ve seen people freak out over one.

3.I’m actually really good at drawing.

4. I don’t know if this is a “good” thing, but my mind is seriously on a wander trip 24/7. I think everything and anything is possible, my mind is open to seriously every opinion.

5. If you’ve ever “done me wrong” chances are, I’ve forgiven you at least once in your lifetime. I’m not good at holding grudges, at all.  It tends to fuck me over and allows people to walk all over me, but for the most part I believe it’s because I have a big heart, not because I’m weak.

6. My teeth, even though their not as white as they once was (thank you to cigarettes and tea). I had braces from 5th grade-8th grade; and then got my teeth bleached. They where on point for high school, and then I got introduced to cigarettes my freshman year and they started to go down hill. I also didn’t wear my retainer so they’re not as perfect, but they’re still good enough for me:)

7!  I’m learning to love my life with my mental illnesses. It’s taking me a while to get “use to” living this life, but I’m also starting to realize that I’m never going to be happy if I continue to wait for my illness to disappear, which will never happen, I need to focus on living the life with my illness happily.

My Nominations:

These are just a few people that I really joy reading their blogs. If you’re a follower and see this post, YOU’RE NOMINATED AS WELL!
