Black Cat Blue Sea Award. (look for nominations)

Saw this tag over at FarahEdz page and seen that she nominated whoever would like to participate and thought, why not?! So thank you, FarahEdz for the nomination. Go ahead and check out her blog in the blue link 🙂  Let’s go ahead and start!

  • Anybody nominated can nominate eight other bloggers.
  • The nominee answers three questions posed by the nominator.
  • The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.

If any of the questions asked are offensive or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.

FarahEdz Questions:

  1. What is your favorite animal? Also why?

My Favorite Animal would have to be either a Pit Bull or a Turtle.

I choose a Pit Bull over saying Dog because I love their unique personalities. Out of all the dogs I’ve had either growing up or now as an adult, the Pit Bull has been the best. Don’t get me wrong I love every dog, but the Pit Bull has such a bad rap, I was even a little eh about getting a Pit Bull my first time. I was never around one, so didn’t really know what to expect but I fell in love with the breed. They’re the sweetest loving animal I’ve had; my Pit Bull helps me a lot when my depression and anxiety is flaring up. I choose a Turtle because I love how they have all they need constantly with them, constantly on the go. I also find them interesting because of how far back they date in history, just interesting to me. I really think I was a turtle somewhere in a past life, lol.

2. Would you rather sleep forever in hot or cold temperature? Why?6358974233902098801606293334_here-are-some-winter-survival-tips-from-the-us-marine-corps.jpg

Haha, I’m definitely picking cold, I’m one of those people that have the fan on high in the middle of Winter. I’d rather be freezing under some warm blankets, if ya get hot, just stick your foot out! If you’re sleeping in just straight hotness, the blankets suck, the mattress just sucks, there is just no sleeping.

3. If you had to choose either cats or pandas for your forever pet, which would you choose?

Hmm, this is actually a tough one. I use to be one of those “I’m a dog, not cat” type of people, and then my fiance and I got two kittens. I actually freaking like cats now, which is crazy but they’re too adorable now. I just don’t really like their eyes…I don’t know what it is about the real long slit looking ones, but they give me a weird vibe. Pandas are also pretty damn cute but I’ve never really got to know their personality…so I’m gonna go with cats, crazy lol.

My Questions For My Nominees:

  1. What is your top overplayed song at the moment? You know the one that is probably getting on everyone’s nerves, but you’re still rocking out.
  2. What is your favorite quote at the moment? Who’s it by?
  3. If you could go back 10 years in your life and making a different decision that you know would alter the present, would you change it, or keep it the same?

That’s all, let me know if you participated!

Blogger Recognition Award!

Thank you to B.G. over at Getting Through Anxiety! She nominated me for this award a while back, and I’m just now catching up on awards! Thank you again! If you’re not already following B.G, definitely go give her page a view!

  • Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.

Why did I start writing this blog?

I began writing this blog because it was suggest by my therapist to blog about my anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. At first, I was hesitant to share any information about myself and my “mental health problems”.  I honestly never thought that I’d be able to find myself being comfortable and connecting to strangers from around the world.

I also didn’t really expect to find so many people suffering from the same exact things I suffer from. Getting my blog and continuing to write and read others posts, has really helped me come out of my “shell” here on WordPress. I’ve gotten over the fear and posted pictures of the real me, I gave the first letter of my name, C:)

I’m really content with the way WordPress Bloggers have helped me. Reading some of your posts, that you probably think no one cares about, I can relate to…it really helps me.

I continue to write in my blog everyday and continue to comment and read others posts is because “why stop something that’s helping me?” It’s a little different than a diary, you know someone is reading it, you know it may be helping someone. I can go back and read the days that were difficult for me, and realize how stronger I have become since starting this blog:)

Advice for new bloggers:

  1. Don’t care about who’s reading your posts. It doesn’t matter if you have 3 views or 1000 views. Writing how you feel and the honest truth about how you feel, is going to help you in the long run. I never care if one of my posts that took me hours to write only has 2 views and the post that took me literally 3 minutes to write has 100 views. Those 2 views on that long insane post about how awful your day has gone, you may have really helped those 2 views. Every time I see someone like one of my more sad post, I hope I helped them, I hope they could relate. Also, when I first got my blog I was so worried about being judged! Trust me, no one on here is judging you, not in the mental health corner at least! We’re all on here for a reason, whether it’s to vent, make friends, or seek help, we’re all here for each other!
  2. Be yourself! Write about something, you’d like to write about. Not what others want you to write about, not what is going to get the most views, and not what is going to make others happy. This is YOUR blog, and it can be about anything YOU want it too! Don’t be worried about who/what is going to read  your blog, be open, be yourself, and most of all be comfortable with your blog and your followers!

    The Miranda Sings Award*

Thank you to Radical Mermaid for nominating all of her followers for this award:)

    1. Announce your win with a post and tag the person who nominated you

    2. Include the featured image in your post

    3. Nominate other blogs to share the love

    4. List 7 things you love about yourself (this can be appearance, personality, achievements etc)

*Don’t use negative contention ex: don’t say things like- I’m prettier than the average person or people have told me I’m smart- no you are SMART, you are PRETTY*

This is going to be difficult but props to whoever thought of this award idea!

    1. I’m actually fond of my eyes, not the shape or anything, just the color. They’re very dark brown, almost black.

    2. I like the fact that my skin tans very easily. I almost never burn, and if I do, it turns into a tan the next day. I’ve never “suffered” from a sunburn so I really don’t know why it hurts as bad as I’ve seen people freak out over one.

3.I’m actually really good at drawing.

    4. I don’t know if this is a “good” thing, but my mind is seriously on a wander trip 24/7. I think everything and anything is possible, my mind is open to seriously every opinion.

    5. If you’ve ever “done me wrong” chances are, I’ve forgiven you at least once in your lifetime. I’m not good at holding grudges, at all.  It tends to fuck me over and allows people to walk all over me, but for the most part I believe it’s because I have a big heart, not because I’m weak.

    6. My teeth, even though their not as white as they once was (thank you to cigarettes and tea). I had braces from 5th grade-8th grade; and then got my teeth bleached. They where on point for high school, and then I got introduced to cigarettes my freshman year and they started to go down hill. I also didn’t wear my retainer so they’re not as perfect, but they’re still good enough for me:)

7!  I’m learning to love my life with my mental illnesses. It’s taking me a while to get “use to” living this life, but I’m also starting to realize that I’m never going to be happy if I continue to wait for my illness to disappear, which will never happen, I need to focus on living the life with my illness happily.

    My Nominations:

These are just a few people that I really joy reading their blogs. If you’re a follower and see this post, YOU’RE NOMINATED AS WELL!
